From the rolling hills of Frederick County to the historic streets of Crownsville, Maryland offers some of the region’s best fall experiences.

Here are the top Maryland fall festivals that capture the spirit of the season.


Gaver Farm Fall Fun Fest

At Gaver Farm, fall is more than a season — it’s an adventure. Families return year after year for its giant slides, pumpkin patch, and a corn maze that twists and turns for acres.

What to Expect: Over 55 attractions including a 7-acre corn maze, hayrides, jumping pillows, barnyard animals, apple cannons, and plenty of family photo spots. Pumpkins sold separately.

Set against the beautiful Catoctin Mountains, Magnolia Meadow offers Maryland’s largest corn maze and some of the best farm photo ops in the state.

Known for its wide-open fields and 45+ activities, Summers Farm is one of Frederick County’s favorite fall traditions.

What to Expect: Pumpkin patch, themed corn maze, giant slides, farm animals, pig races, live entertainment, and evening fireworks on select nights.

For more than 50 years, Catoctin Colorfest has been a fall tradition in Thurmont, drawing thousands of visitors to celebrate local crafts and autumn beauty.

When & Where: 2nd weekend of October annually. Downtown Thurmont, MD.
